The Month of June In Utah

We spent almost the whole month of June in Utah visiting.  These kids are spoiled!! We had some crazy fun!!  We did so much I didn't even get pictures of it all...we went hiking, Seven Peaks, 4-wheeling, to the Parade of Homes, and so much more!  I think I needed some R&R when we finally made it back to New Mexico.  We played REALLY hard!

We arrived just in time to celebrate Mikey's birthday.  He had been asking me all month when we were going to go to grandma's house so that he could have his birthday.  We got to have cousins all around.

Aunt Andie made Mikey a cake. It was a hit.  She did a great job and I appreciated it after making 5 birthday cakes over the last few months.  The boys fought over all the cars on the cake.

Then, we went to a jumping place with cousins!  We spent 2 hours there!  It was crazy fun!

Grandma got all the kids new shirts.  Kellan was totally in heaven with his shirt...his 2 most favorite things...BYU sports and Spiderman!  He had to wear that shirt everyday.

Cascade Springs

We went to cascade springs just days before the fire started.  It was so gorgeous.  My dad and his brothers would hike there or take horses up there even before it became a State Park.  It is really close to where he grew up.  It was so pretty and it was nice taking a break from the city and finally getting back to the countryside.

The girls were rubbing this lamb's tail all over their faces right before grandpa told them what campers usually used that stuff for....its a good toilet paper replacement when camping.

The boys never wanted to be on the trail.  They found it more enjoyable to trek through the weeds.  It was so beautiful there!  I didn't want to leave.

We played in the stream for a good hour.  By the time we were ready to go everyone was soaking wet and muddy.  A bunch of other kids would walk by and would beg their parents to let them play in the water too, but we were the only ones awesome enough to do it.

This girl loves to climb trees.!

This boy was muddy head to toe and had so much fun!
Midway

We visited my dad's old barn.  The city had is restored to become a Midway Icon of the past lives of the farmers who once lived there.  They had prime location next to the mountain, streams and Deer Creek.  They even had a cold house, where it had a spring running through it in order to cool the milk down after they milked all the cows...beautiful!  Great Grandma even planted some yellow roses that were still there.  My dad picked a bunch to bring back to her...she was pretty delighted to see her yellow roses that she planted decades ago!

Trafalga

We killed some time at trafalga and the kids had fun even though it was super HOT!

This picture is my all time favorite...Kellan would go on the rides and tell me that he was scared, but that he wanted to go on it again.  Mikey always has fun on roller coasters.

Wardle Fields Splash Park in Bluffdale

This place was HUGE!  It was hard keeping track of everyone, but it was so much fun!  The park was amazing and the splash pad was complete with a waterfall.  We met Jayla's birthfamily here.

Kellan said, "Mikey will you hold my hand?"  These boys are best friends.

Hanging with cousins

Great grandma

This boy is obsessed with superheros.

We played with kittens at grandma's house.  The kids LOVED them and Q kept calling them doggies, but loved them still the same!

Getting ready for the prayer.

Timpanogos Cave

I had never hiked Timp Cave despite growing up in Utah my whole life.  I had always wanted to, so it was fun to share the adventure with my kids.  We left Quinton home with grandma to get some very much needed beauty sleep and took the other kids.  They did well...Mikey struggled a bit and Kellan wanted to be carried, but they did it!

Payson Resevoir

Uncle Matt, grandpa and Michael took all the kids fishing.  Everyone caught about 3 fish each, except for grandpa...and the kids made sure to make fun of him for that!  They had fun of course!

Utah Lake

Boating didn't disappoint.  It was a little overcast, but still a pretty great day to go boating.

These three best cousins!

It was nice going out with the kids, because they were my insurance policy to not get dumped.

Its pretty hard taking a nap on a boat, but Quinton hung in there.

This was right before Mikey threw up everywhere on the boat...Yup....that happened...pretty sure he got motion sickness.

I couldn't get Jayla out of the water...she is always a die hard with everything that we do!

Jessa was supposed to be driving...well, she was driving us right into the rocks, so her driving debut didn't last for very long.

Visiting Our Caseworker
This amazing lady helped us in multiple ways with 4 of our 5 adoptions!  She was there for us from the very beginning and she continues to be a source of support and knowledge for us as we are trying to adopt one more time. We definitely had to say Hi to her while we were in the neighborhood!

Mapleton Resevoir

We met some old friends of mine that I used to play soccer with.  It was so weird seeing them as these cute little mommies now, with their same personalities!  They haven't changed at all!  It was fun playing in the water with them!

4-Wheeling

It wouldn't be grandpa's house without some 4-wheeling rides.  All of the kids always love getting on these things and Jayla especially makes sure that she gets her chance.

WOW!  And these aren't even all the pictures of all our adventures!  Can you see why we were tired. Well...all good things must come to an end...I was never so happy to get home to my own bed.
