Happy Halloween

We had a Halloween party with some cousins in White Rock.  It was a blast!  We had so much fun! Aunt Jessica had a bunch of activities planned.

First we did a few Halloween games.  All the kids dressed up as mummies.  I think we used 24 rolls of toilet paper in the end.  It was worth it!

What would Halloween be without video games!

These two had a lot of fun together playing in the hammock and digging in the dirt. They are about 8 months a part and kinda look alike in this photo.

Mikey getting to know one of his grandma's. He loves her already and grandma told us that it seems like he has always been here with us.

Jared is also a pretty lovable uncle.  Mikey didn't waste any time and tried to wrestle with him.

The little boys were mesmerized by the dry ice.  Apparently it is a tradition to make home made root beer.

We were setting up the kids for their fun Halloween dinner!  They got to eat pumpkin oranges, hot dog mummies, eyeball juice, and bat nuggets!  They loved it!

Grandpa was good enough to take everyone's order.  He didn't disappoint!...for an old guy.

After lunch we went to the church for some bouncy house fun!  We were trying to wear everyone out...but somehow they all still had so much energy!  I think the pictures can speak for themselves!

Kellan has always loved to be thrown up in the air.  We have a picture of Jayla doing this around this age too, but not one of Jessa....she hated it!  Now we need one of Mikey.

The leaves were really fun!  Someone was so kindly raking up the leaves at the church so that all my children and cousins could destroy the massive pile that was being created!  Pretty sure it was just as fun as the bouncy house.

Oh man!!  Doesn't this beautiful boy just melt your heart!  I stare at this picture a lot.  I think this is my new favorite picture of Mikey.  The lighting was perfect and I caught him right before he dumped leaves on grandpa.  I'm surprised I was able to get this one...this kid does not stay in one spot, so I've got to be on my toes to get any pictures of him!  So eternally grateful to be his mama!  He totally fits right in!

And then there is this one. HAHAHA.  This is the little boy that I know...tasting the leaves before he dumps them on someone.  He's so cute!

Ummm the little boys really got the hang of throwing leaves at anyone who walked by to the dismay of all the little girls.  Boys will be boys!!

Of course Kellan loves the leaves too!  He was so fun!

You gotta laugh at the intense look on Mikey's face!

That little grin was because he was thinking of how fun it would be to throw these leaves on dad.

So these two pictures are some of my favorites!  Grandma shouldn't have started what she couldn't finish, especially when she has so many gandkids! Jayla's face is pretty classic.  I love it!

Pretty sure grandma was loosing at this point!

Jessa was taunting grandpa as usual...pretty sure he deserved it!

These three wanted me to bury them in the leaves...They did pretty good and I had no idea that they could hold so still for so long...they are totally caught.

Mikey let me cover his whole body including his face so he could hide from everyone.

Grandpa is so sweet with his girls!

We al went and played games in the gym.  It got pretty intense there for a little while.   Those cousins mean business when it comes to dodge ball.

Mikey and Joel kept racing eachother back and forth and trying to disrupt the game by knocking all the cones down.

Pretty sure that Jared has a special place in Kellan's heart!  Kellan loves uncle Jared!

Our little superhero family! This was the last picture before my camera died.  The kids had a lot of fun trick or treating!  They couldn't wait to get in their costumes.  Kellan and Mikey keep asking me if we can go again..they don't get it that they have to wait until next year.  Mikey had to be physically restrained so that he wouldn't dive into the candy bowels at everyone's house, then he couldn't keep up because he kept eating all his candy out of his bag.  Kellan was pretty proud of his superhero costume, "Mom! I a superhero."  Jessa was all about getting in and getting out so she could go home and eat her hard earned candy.  Jayla would have gone all night if we weren't all so done!  But now we get to enjoy the spoils after all the kids are in bed.  I wonder when they will figure out that we do that after they go to bed.

It is so crazy how adoption has brought us all together.  Each time we adopt a child we can't help but reflect on it how amazing it all is.  It is definite evidence to me how much God loves his little children.
