San Diego

This year we went on a family vacation to San Diego. We were really excited for the trip but at the same time I was really excited to come home and sleep in my own bed and to see my own house. When we got home Jessa was crawling around the whole house squealing the whole time...I think that she was really excited to be home too.

Sea World

The girls were able to meet Shamu. When Jayla saw the picture of her and Shamu she said, "Mom, I love Shamu. Do you love him too?"

Jayla was fascinated by the all of the trainers who dressed up like fairies and swam with the dolphins. She was dying to meet them after the show...but when the time came she got a little shy.

Jayla was so excited that we finally found some water that she could play in. She kept wanting to jump in the water tanks with the dolphins and go swimming. We had to go swimming the in the pool when we got back to the hotel room because she had been dying to swim all day long.

This was the only sign we could find in the whole park that said Sea World on it, so we had to get our picture taken next to it.

The girls were so tired they were able to take a nap amongst all of the chaos.

Jayla was so brave...she wanted to pet the bat rays. She got really excited every time they got close.

Here we are waiting for the seal show to start. They did a pretty good job with it. Jayla was mesmerized and I have never seen her sit so still for that long.

The Zoo

When we were in the parking lot to our hotel the GPS kept going off telling us to turn right while we were loading up the car. Jayla started to get really upset. She said exasperated, "Dad, turn right I want to go see the animals!!" It was classic.

We went to the petting zoo exhibit. It was close to being Jayla's favorite part of the zoo. Even Jessa got into it wanting to pet the goats.

This guy was huge! They had some really good monkey exhibits. There was a little baby gorilla that kept trying to give up high five. That was fun.

Jayla was a daddy's girl throughout the whole trip always wanting Michael to hold her and Michael really enjoyed it.

This was in one of the bird aviaries at the zoo. It was really pretty.

The Hotel

Returning back from the zoo Jessa decided that she was too thirsty to take the time to take her bottle out of the diaper bag. The poor girl was so exhausted. She slept really good that night.

This was our view from one of our hotel's. The best part of it was the nice pool and hot tub, which we took advantage of every night.

Momma Jayla putting all of her paper dolls to bed for the night in her bed. She has such and imagination.

The Beach

The kids went to the beach for the very first time in their young lives. They weren't sure what to make of the waves, but they both really enjoyed the sand. Michael went boogie boarding while the girls played on the shore.
