Lake Tahoe and Truckee

We spent a few days at Lake Tahoe and rented and Airbnb in Truckee.  We decided to stay at Kings Beach near North Shore.  The water was supposed to be a little warmer up North.  I never got in the water but the kids didn't mind at all.  The sun finally came out to warm things up a little bit more.  The sand was amazing and the views were gorgeous.  The kids paddle boarded and Uncle Matt rented a jet ski for all the kids to take a turn on. We ended up popping the Kayak, but we had the other paddleboards to use at least.  We ate lunch on the beach and just chilled for most of the day.  It was really nice and relaxing.

I broke my toe the night before the trip trying to pack and get everything ready, so I couldn't get in the water.  I was ok since it was freezing cold water anyway.  I was able to go on the paddle boards.

Jayla took the kids out on this tube for a good hour.  They would have her spin them around.  It was great that we didn't have to get in the water or anything!

We went on this gorgeous hike in Truckee but unfortunately didn't bring enough water so we had to turn around before we could ride the tram back down.  It was too hot to go without more water.  It will be a good excuse to come back again another year.

We passed 3 water falls.  It was such a beautiful hike!  I loved it!  The kids tolerated it, but had a lot more fun with cousins.  Jessa started a chant and all the kids followed suit.  She made it even more fun. 5..6..7...8...

I borrowed a boot from my friend so I could hike no problem.  It made it really nice so that I didn't have to use that little shoe that was just hard to walk in and impossible to hike in.  It was totally fine with the boot.  Who knew that a little broken tow would be so annoying.

Lucas of course made sure that I was taking plenty of pictures of him.  Its pretty nice how he loves getting his picture taken.  It makes my job easier.  Now he just needs to rub off on everyone else.
