Cruise

Got away for the very first time together for our 20th anniversary with my sister and brother-in-law.  We took a cruise on the Mexican Riviera.  We had a blast with these two.  They made it so much fun.

IDK.  I don't think we look very much alike.  Maybe a little.  We laugh the same is all I guess.

It was cold so I made sure I got a good spot inside.

Puerto Vallarta

We took a boat to a small town on our way to our zipline excursion.  The water was choppy, but we are used to Utah lake so it wasn't any big thing.

This village was amzing!  It was so beautiful nestled in the jungle.  It was so cold though.  Don't go in February.

There were flowers everywhere.  It was so pretty!

I got Pink Eye for the trip.  Our guides thought I was high on something.  Nope.  Not this time.

Oh man!  Brit and Matt had Michael convinced that he was going to die.  They told us how scary everything was.  I think to the point that I was expecting some crazy stuff, but it ended up not being that bad.  But ask Michael and he would have said it was bad.

Love her so much!  Glad I get to have a sister.ds

IDK.  Don't ask. LOL.  He's so funny!

This was the scariest part.  My mule was competitive and kept trying to pass all the other mules.  Then he would get mad whenever anyone would pass him and he would start to gallop.  He took off so fast one time that it flung me backwards.  I wasn't ready for it.  It was still pretty fun!  I'd do it again.

This wasn't bad for Michael.  He just was nervous for everything else.
The first zipline over a huge ravine.  It was so beautiful.  I think I get more afraid of roller coasters than this type of thing.

Michael was freaking out but he couldn't turn back now.

Repelling the water fall a little crazy leaning over the edge in the beginning, but once you felt the ropes catch you it wasn't scary.

Michael looks happy, but don't let that fool you.  He was peeing his pants.

The water was freezing!  I did not like the slides.  I'm not a fan of slides.  They give you wedgies, the water is cold, they hurt.

This was my favorite part!  There were drops where you would be airborne until the rail would catch you.  It was freaking amazing!  The craziest, best roller coaster ride I've ever been on.  I'd totally do it again!  It was so amazing!  I'd take my kids on it, but IDK if Lucas could handle it.

The part right before this was a platform that you had to walk across a plank and then repel down.  Michael was going to crawl out onto it.  The guides kept calling his name because he wasn't coming out. "Michelle, where are you?!?"  Then the guide said the girl power was stronger in our group.  HAHAHA.  I gather mostly because of Michael.

After this we went on another slide.  Brit was the last one to come down and we were all waiting for her for forever.  She must have got stuck and we hear her shoes screeching the whole time while she tried to push her way all the way down.  We were all laughing hysterically.  When she got down she had no clue about what was so funny or why we were laughing at her so hard.

Such a beautiful place.  I was shaking so bad from how cold the water was and then it started to rain.  It was freezing, but this was such an amazing experience!  I kept thinking about my kids doing it with me.

The town on the way back.  WE rode in a big army like truck.  We met a few other couples from Utah on the excursion and who were from our same cruise.

I loved this bay.  There were shops and restaurants with beautifully painted houses.

On the way back we saw a momma whale with her baby.  They have to stay close to the surface because their baby can't hold it's breathe for very long.  They have to push them to the surface when they are very little.  But this one kept breaching and jumping with its momma.  Such beautiful animals!  My favorite part to going different places is seeing all the different architecture, vegetation and the animals.

After we had a little time and went to a restaurant with the yummiest tacos.  We walked to the beach a short distance later and I had to pee.  I ended up paying 3$ dollars and I thought I was going to use a nice bathroom but they took to an outhouse.  What a joke.  They got me.

Yum.  Found this in the candy store.  I was going to bring it home for the kids, but then decided to get something a little more edible.

Mazatlán
We got off the ship to see what excursion t ere were to do.  We opted for our own tour guide.  He took us about 2 hours away from the port in his open air taxi.  It was still cold and wet and rainy.  I wish I'd gotten pictures of all the towns we went through.  We went 4-wheeling, which wasn't that exciting since we do it all the time, but we drove through a nearby town and that was exciting.  The streets were swept clean and were so beautiful and central kiva was perfectly clean.

We ate a yummy lunch here and ground our own salsa.  The food was amazing.

We got to relax and swim in the hot pools without kids for a few hours.  We were overed while it started to pour even harder.

On the way back to the ship our guide took us through some of the streets.  The houses were right on the street and there was barely enough room to drive down.  Our guide said they just had a hug religious festival that is similar to Mardi Gras in New Orleans, so the streets were dirtier than usual.  Usually the whole place is pristine.

Cabo
This was a short stop.  We basically had time to walk around the ship port and get back to our excursion.  The water here was definitely colder than Puerto Vallarta and Mazatlan.

We took a snorkeling, paddle boat tour.  We saw whales all the way there and all the way back.  The fish were everywhere and there were sea urchins.

Trying to find a good spot on the deck.  It was too cold for me and too windy so we stayed inside the ship for most of the day.
