Spring Break

 Huntington Beach

It was cold cold cold.  But that didn't stop the kids from going into the water.  It was definitely too cold for me so I stood behind the video camera.

We spent another day at the beach and swimming at the hotel.  It was our easy day.

Another day at the beach, but it was still cold.  We didn't time things well, so it was kinda a bust.

Great Wolf Lodge

Great Wolf Lodge A.K.A "The Great Massage" as Lucas liked to call it.

We celebrated Kellan's birthday at the Great wolf lodge.  He was upset that he didn't get a cake.  Some kids are harder to please than others. Oh well.

Jessa going down the kitty slide and not so happy that I'm taking her picture.

Jayla was upset about something.   She had teenageritis at the Great Wolf Lodge.

I think he had the most fun out of everybody. LOL.

Kellan was brave enough to try this slide where the bottom opens and then it just drops you.  Jayla and I went on it too and it wasn't so bad.  I was a little worried about panicking and having claustrophobia.

Jayla helped her little brothers!  It was so sweet.  It will be interesting when they end up bigger than her some day.

The room was the best part.  We got a double room and Michael had a huge room to ourselves with 2 bathrooms.  It was the best.

Knotts Berry Farms

The kids weren't too impressed with this place.  It was a downgraded version of Lagoon.

Someone was not ready to leave just yet, but the rest of us were.

Lucas using Quinton as a pillow.  they were too tired to care.

The kids were enamored by the hotel and loved the elevator.

We hit the beach for a minute on the way back.

SeaWorld

Jessa really wanted to go to SeaWorld and see the dolphins so we decided to go one last time.

This show was pretty awesome!  One problem was that we kept trying to get wet and we never did despite sitting in the splash zone.

"Mom is this a filter of you?" Kellan.  Smart Alec!!

This one was fun because we all got to ride it together.

Boat Ride

This turned out more fun than we expected.  We didn't see much wildlife, but the boat ride was still pretty cool.  We saw a bunch of dolphins, sea lions, a cuddle fish, and a few other smaller things.

                                         San Diego Zoo

This place was huge!  It was so dang hot that we didn't even see half of it.  We tried to get there early so that it wouldn't be as bad, but we still called it quits early on.

Lucas was loving this baby polar bear and kept petting it like it was real and kissing it.  He was pretty cute.

After much convincing I finally got Jayla to pose next to the polar bear when nobody was looking.  I then threatened her that I would post it on social media if she didn't have a good attitude.  LOL it worked great for the rest of the trip.

San Diego Zoo Safari
This place was a little different than your typical zoo.  The animals get to roam free in the grasslands and they are in a more natural setting.  It was kinda fun to see things like that.

                                           Mission Beach

We ended the trip with boogie boarding on Mission beach.  The waves were pretty aggressive and there was rip tide that day, so we didn't last that long there either.  We were there for a few hours and then played in the sand a lot.  The kids were all beached out and were actually ready to head home, so it worked out well.
