Fossil Point
We were able to visit Green River during the quarantine because nobody was going to be at grandma's house! We had the place to ourselves and although it was a little weird we greatly needed a change of scenery! So worth the 4 hour drive! We had a blast looking for dinosaur fossils! Mom was in heaven. Jessa was the expert and found the first fossil so we knew what to look for. Then she found a ton more! Lucas was upset and wanted to hike the mountain with mom and dad instead of playing on the bottom with the boys. Everyone would take turns playing with Lucas at the bottom and that seemed to satisfy the cute boy! We had so much fun!
We met the ranger and Lucas was trying to talk to him waving his arms and talking so loud and animated for a good 5 minutes. The ranger seemed to be impressed and mom dropped the ball and didn't get it on camera. So sad! This Canyon went on for forever and we wanted to keep going until the very end, but dad was falling behind having to pack the chubby. A.K.A. Lucas! It was so much fun! At the end of the hike Quinton exclaimed, "My legs are crying!" I think he was tired and he slept good that night!
Black Dragon
This hike was epic and the kids did so well hiking literally the cliff face! We made it to the cave and the kids were enthralled! Mom packed Quinton up the cliff while dad packed Lucas. Someday soon we will be able to make it without having to pack little babies up the steep cliff. Jayla told me that she was going to bring her kids. Lol. It was fun having to work together to get everyone up the hill. The petroglyphs were amazing as usual!
Crystal Geyser
This place is gorgeous! The perfect place to end our vacation! We played here with the kids for a good 3 hours. They learned how to skip rocks, tried to slide down the geyser and made sand castles. We never saw the geyser go off. We think it went off a few hours before we got there. Lucas was in heaven! He loved splashing in the water and he didn't want anyone to hold him or pick him up. Jayla did a good job taking care of him. This place always makes the best pictures!
