Lucas 12 Months Old

Lucas weights 26 lbs and 2 oz.  He is 30.5 inches long.  He can sign milk, but it means food or milk to him.  Sometimes he will sign sleep and all done.  He is slowly getting used to being hugged all the time.  He takes 2 naps a day.  One morning for about 2-2.5 hours and one afternoon nap for about 2-2.5 hours.  He sleeps for about 11.5 hours every night and sleeps really well at night.  He eats a TON and is going to be huge!  He is growing out of his 18 month clothes and is in 2T pajamas.  He babbles but doesn't say any words yet.  He loves bouncing on the bed, going outside, and his bottle.  He doesn't do sippy cups and throws a fit when we try to give him one.  He is going to be tough to ween off the bottle...I think we might just keep it until he's two.  He gets a lot of comfort from it right now because he uses it as a binky.  He is getting better at crawling and getting more confident at pulling himself up to a standing position.  He loves to swing and is slowly getting to like water.  He likes to play peek-a-boo and loves being held.  He will mostly just sit on your lap all thoughout church and not even try to wiggle away.  He loves doing this fake laugh whenever he hears us laugh, but it sounds more like a cough.  He is a momma's boy and we are working on making him a daddy's boy too.  He still loves bouncing on his knees on the bed or on the ground.  He is not very adventurous and doesn't even try to get into things.  He would rather just sit on my lap.  Never had one of those!  We are curious to see if that will change as he gets older, but Quinton was into everything by this age. Maybe we got lucky with this one.LOL

He was too fast and grabbed the candle before we could blow it out.  Poor baby.

After a short intermission he was ready to dig in again.

He kept squinting every time the flash would go off. It made us all laugh.

His fan club kept cheering him on.
