Ohio Trip

The John Johnson Farm was our first stop.  It was pretty fun seeing how houses were made back then..it was actually a pretty nice house.  This was where Joseph Smith was tarred and feathered and then went to preached the next day to the same mob on the door steps of this house.  Joseph also saw Jesus Christ again in that very room.

Where the ladies would do their cooking!  Women would die every now and again because their skirts would catch on fire while they were cooking..so sad!

These people donated a lot of money to the church.  They were very well off and sacrificed so much for the building up the church.

Joel Hill Johnson's Mill.  Yes we are related to him.  Pretty cool he donated a lot of his time and resources to building the Kirtland Temple.

These two loved and hated each other!  Hopefully next time we visit with them they will just love each other.

Kirtland Temple

We visited an old mill that is hundreds of years old!  It was beautiful there.

The Whitmere Farm where the church was officially organized.

The Susquehanna River.

The Joseph Smith Farm

An example of where Joseph Smith kept the Gold Plates.

The top of the Hill Cumorah

The hill Cumorah was within walking distance to the Joseph Smith farm.  Amazing!

Where Joseph Smith would have slept with his siblings.  This is where Angel Moroni appeared to him several times.

The original stone sink and the Joseph Smith Farm!

The backsteps leading to the sacred grove.

The printing press in town where the Book of Mormon was published.

Niagara Falls was amazingly beautiful!

We went on the boat tour and that was beautiful to get that close to the falls.  We has the best seats in the whole place.  We got the very front of the boat.

Local Safari-This was awesome!  The animals would come right up next to you.  It was great and the kids loved it!

Cedar Point--was by far Jayla's favorite.  She went on all the crazy, scary, record breaking rollercoasters without flinching.  By the end of the day Michael and I were both fighting over who had to go with her!

Kellan got brave and went on a few bigger roller coasters.  He would always look scared out of his mind, but then he would want to do it again.

We had to ride this one over and over and over...the little boys loved it!

The other kids stuck to kiddie land and were not as adventrous.  Poor Mikey...wasn't feeling well and this was supposed to celebrate his birthday...but he still managed to go on a few rides.

The plane trip home.  Quinton did so well.  He loved the plane and kept screaming every time he saw one.  I don't think he understood that he rode in one.

Both boys wanted to sleep on dad.  Playing this hard is so tiring.
