Mini Vacation to Phoenix

Playing at the Phoenix Children's Museum.

Jessa helping Quinton catch the handkerchiefs after the air pipes blow them out.

Kellan and Jessa practicing for their future teenage jobs.

There was a big tree-type play area for the kids to explore.  Quinton was having a ball.

My cute girls:

Kellan is a caged animal

Racing cars on the race tracks

They had a pretend store equipped with shopping carts, aisles of food, produce, and checkout stands.  I thought about jumping on the side of Kellan's shopping cart then begging him to buy me treats... just so he'd know how it feels to be on the other side :)

Ready to checkout.

Mikey making a brick-oven pizza.

Pretending to eat said pizza

Quinton loves playing with balls.  It was pretty hard to get him to leave this part of the museum.

They had a pretend hot-dog stand.  Quinton doesn't believe in pretend hot dogs.

He also doesn't believe in being hugged when he's eating hot dogs.

They had a face painting booth where the kids could paint their own faces.  Dad helped a little bit... the kids thought he did a good job but you have to use your imagination.

Jessa: a Tiger

Kellan: Spiderman (of course)

The pool at the motel was a huge hit.

At first everyone was disappointed the pool was outdoor.  Then they found out it was heated to the temperature of bath water.  We couldn't get them out after that.

The huge park in Phoenix.

We basically had the park to ourselves because they roped off the area for MLB spring training.  The kids all took turns on the zipline.

The rope climbing course was a big hit.

At the end of the course was a huge rope tower.

Of course the girls had to climb to the VERY top of the tower.  Dad got pretty nervous (even though he didn't say so at the time).  Mom snapped this cool picture with a plan flying by.

If you look closely you can see Jessa near the top and Jayla is on her way to greet her.

We went to some historical ruins.  They taught the kids about adobe bricks and let them make their very own brick.

Museum of Natural Art and History.

Mining for gold at the museum.

This picture cracked us all up.  Quinton was really nervous about the T-Rex standing right next to us for the picture.  Notice the death grip on Dad's shirt.

Any trip to Phoenix needs a picture in front of a cactus.
