4TH OF JULY

We had a great fourth!  Visited family in Utah.  We swam almost everyday, had barbecues, went shopping, did fireworks...we even got to visit with Jayla's birth family...we were all tired by the end.  It was a great trip.

Its a tradition to get a Fourth of July picture with all the kids.  They are looking pretty cute and ready for the fourth.

We celebrated Daddy's birthday.  The kids were excited to pick out presents for dad.  They picked out treats for him and we even got to go on a date together.  Good times.

Great Grandma meeting Mikey and Quinton for the first time.  This lady is so mellow.  Our kids were running around her house during the last visit and she was so patient with them the entire time.  As a kid I never realized all the craziness of grandkids she put up with and never got upset.  She is a gem!

Grandma got Quinton his onzie...so true.

Not sure what happened but he is telling dad one sad story.

Hanging out with grandpa.

Meeting Uncle Nate for the first time.  This little baby LOVES sucking on fingers.

Love how these brothers are always together.

Hanging out with Uncle Rolf and Aunt Tangie.  Love this family.

Cow

The kids got to feed a calf at the neighbors house.  I love Kellan's concerned look on his face in the background.  I always thought that my kids are so deprived of a magical childhood because they don't get to grow up on a farm like me.  We had so much fun playing in the haystacks, throwing rotten eggs at the cows, making forts in the old buildings, sliding down the cotton seed, playing sports everyday with my cousins and the other farm worker's kids, 4-wheeling wherever we wanted...the list could go on and on.  It was a blast.

Anyway, everyone was excited to feed the cow and the goats...I guess this is the closest they will ever get.

Bridal Veil Falls

My dad went with me up to the Falls.  The kids enjoyed it a lot more than I thought they would.  They were not ready to go.  Jayla and Jessa climbed all the way to the top of the falls and the boys were a little too fearless, so we had to keep a close eye on them.

Boating

We were so excited to go on the boat.  On the way to Utah Kellan saw several boats and asked if he could ride in them.  He told me that they have to "share."  He was pretty excited to finally get to go out on the boat and everyone else was pretty excited too.

Quinton wasn't too excited about wearing the life jacket, but after a few minutes the hummm of the boat put him to sleep and the slept almost the entire time.

After Michael and I wakeboarded, the kids spent close to 2 hours just riding this thing!  They loved it!

My dad was trying to show off by sticking his legs straight up in the air.

Splash Pads

What would visiting grandma and grandpa be without visiting a bunch of different splash pads with cousins.  It will be sad when the kids grow out of this phase.

4-Wheeling

Everyone wanted to go on the 4-wheelers.  This one is Jayla's personal favorite and she begs my dad to take her every chance she gets. It was Mikey's first time on one and he had a blast.

You can just see in his eyes that he thinks he is a stud!

By the end of the trip Kellan had fallen asleep.

Besties

We were able to get together with some good friends.  We all went to grad school together and we all ended up adopting kids.  Between the 3 families there were 12 kids!  It was so great seeing them all again!

When we got home we couldn't find Mikey anywhere.  This is where we found him!  We think he missed his bed.
