We have adopted! We first met Mikael a.k.a. Mikey, and his Nana on August 23rd. We got to know them over several weeks. On Sept. 10th we got physically custody of Mikey and then on Oct. 7th we got legal custody. There is more to that story of course, which will be coming soon.
We couldn't be happier. We know without a doubt that our Heavenly Father wanted this little boy to be in our family and He provided a way for that to happen! It's surreal... it has only been about 7 weeks since we first met... it seems like all of this happened over a shorter amount of time, but yet we feel like we have known Mikey for so much longer than just 7 weeks. We love this little boy and that love just keeps growing more and more everyday.
