Black Dragon Cave and Camping

So this was a really fun cave.  Mikey was a little nervous to go down there, but we just asked him if he would give dad a big hug in the cave...and that worked, but he wouldn't leave Michael's side while we were in there....and having his own flashlight made it more fun.

Jayla wanted to keep going deeper and deeper until we got to the end of the cave.  She was very adventurous...it was fun.  All the other kids just sat down by dad and they were content to just watch us.

Squeezing out of the the little hole that we climbed in.  The kids did really well!  We loved it!  I almost think Michael and I had the most fun just watching them all climb and how proud of themselves they would get.

We got to see some really fun hieroglyphs at the end of the hike.  I love these cute little kids!  So much fun!

And of course Kellan had so show off all of the rocks that he had collected during the hike.

Good thing he had pockets.

You would think that these two would have been tired after hiking all day, but there were some fun rocks to climb next to our camp site that they wanted to go explore.  We were pretty impressed by how well these little hikers did.  Jayla was a die hard and wanted to keep exploring mountain after mountain. Jayla and Mikey kept climbing this one together.

The best part of it all was the s'mores after dinner.  Kellan just opted for the marshmallows and kept stealing them by the handful.

Pretty sure that everyone liked making the s'mores just as much as eating them.  Jayla and Jessa would make a s'more and then hide it so they could make another one.  Little Pyros in the making.

After setting up all our beds and having everyone ready to sleep in the tent the wind started to blow and it started to rain so hard.  The tent folded in half causing a mass panic among the kids.  The tent poles broke and the kids did not want to sleep in the tent after that, so we figured we had no choice but to pack up and sleep at grandma's...and so we did. Well, it was fun while it lasted....we certainly made some good memories.
