Trip To Utah

 Grandpa's Funeral

We went to my grandpa's funeral. He was honored for his military service in the Navy. We will miss him, but he is in a better place.

My sweet grandma has always been the happiest woman I have every known.  She said she was at peace knowing in her heart that she will one day see her husband again and she was still smiling as she always has.

Children's Museum

Hanging out with cousins at the museum at Thanksgiving Point was really fun!  It was an amazing museum and we could have spent a couple days there.  This one was Kellan's favorite!  He thought that he was flying the plane because it was suspended form the roof!  He wouldn't share it.

Jayla striking a great pose for the camera.  Oh how I love these days with these kids.

This was a pretty cool table.  Kellan loved this one.  He didn't want to get out.  He kept dumping water on himself and was soaking wet by the end.

Jessa had a lot of fun with this one.  She spent a lot of time putting things together for this one.

Kellan found a good use for the rubber boots he was supposed to be wearing.

Afterward we got together with the cousins for some fun and for a game of kickball.

Kellan is obsesed with swings and "under dogs."  He is fearless now and loves to be pushed high.

 Fishing

We had so much fun fishing on the boat.  Kellan LOVED the boat.  He still talks about it and want to go on grandpa's boat all the time.  He saw a boat on the way to the swimming pool and he ran up ahead and tried to climb into it.

j

Jayla caught her second fish of her life.  She was still a little scared of it, but at least she would reel it in and pose for a picture.

Trying to take a picture of Kellan as he exclaims, "I anna see."

Jessa was brave enough to reel the fish in, but too scared to even look at the thing once we got it in the boat.  I think these girls need to go fishing more often.

4-wheeling

We went 4-wheeling a couple times while we were in Utah.  Jayla would ask grandpa to take her every chance she could get.  She LOVED the 4-wheelers.  We had so much fun taking the kids on them.

 Boating

We took a boating trip to Utah Lake.  It had been awhile since we had gone, but it seemed to all come back.

Michael went with the girls on the tube and they LOVED it!  They didn't want to get off.  They had so much fun.  Jessa was a  little dare devil and would lean over the side and stick an arm or a leg out and try to splash in the water.  They were all smiles.

Even Kellan went out on the tube and he would clap and scream and wave to mom from the tube.  He was having a blast!  He liked it a lot more than we thought he would.  It was fun watching everyone having so much fun now that they are all finally old enough to enjoy it.

Thanksgiving Point

We went to Thanksgiving Point with Michael's brother.  We rode horses and looked at all the animals.

These were Kellan's favorite.  He was curious to find out what a chicken looked like after all of his "Why did the chicken cross the road" jokes.  He stood there for a while just studying them probably wondering why these chickens were not crossing the road.

 Green River

We got to have lots of water fights at Michael's parent's house.  This picture in classic Jessa.  I think this is my new favorite picture of her.

Both girls were trying to gang up on Uncle Jason and they were doing a pretty good job I might add.

More water fights.
