Santa Fe Trip

Bug Museum

We only made it to two museums on our trip to Santa Fe.Our first stop was the bug museum.  We were pretty excited to see all the museums and Jayla really wanted to go see the bug museum.  Although, when we got there she wasn't so sure about everything anymore.  They both were a little scared to get any closer to the spider exhibit next to them.  We had to keep showing them that the bugs were dead and they couldn't get out.

 

The girls started to get more brave and decided that they were ok with touching some of the bugs.  They were more brave than me.

International Folk Ark Museum

Next we went to the International Folk Ark Museum.  This one was really fun.  They had an exhibit all about the Japanese Kite Festival.  They had hundreds of kites in all shapes and sizes.  The kids even got to make their own kites. 

This was the Brazillian exhibit.  It was really interesting learning about their culture and all of the different beliefs and history of the country.  The girls really liked all the ceremonial outfits.

We had so much fun on our day trip.  We will definitely be visiting again and visiting more of the museums.  It was really fun spending time will all 3 of the kids together.  We don't get to do that very often anymore now that Jayla is in school.  I think Jessa really enjoyed having her sister there.
