Whenever Jessa gets caught doing something she knows she shouldn't a huge grin crosses her face. She'll smile bigger when she knows she's been caught than about any other time.
Today I was vacuuming the bedroom and I noticed the master bathroom door was shut. I stopped the vacuum and tried to open the door but it was locked. I thought Jayla was in there so I knocked with the command "open the door". On the other side I hear Jessa's little voice respond "a minute!" then I hear things being tossed around frantically on the other side of the door. So I hurry and unlock the door expecting the worst and find Jessa surrounded by about 10 unwrapped bars of soap with soap all over her face. Knowing what Jessa is capable of I was relieved that this was it. She looked up at me and gave me the 'guilty grin' and said "I love you daddy".
The thing about the guilty grin is that she knows it makes it near impossible for us to be mad at her. As I stood there acting mad and trying not to laugh she nonchalantly finished cleaning up (never stopping the guilty grin) then walked out of the room like nothing happened. I told her "thank you for cleaning up the mess and telling me you love me but you need to ask before you get into things". She says "ya sure" and starts walking down the stairs. I told her to go tell mommy what she did. She didn't say a word to Kristen... she just flashed this grin and Kristen asked, "What did you do?"
