Jayla: "Dad, when we buy another baby do we have to give Jessa back?"
Dad: "No Jayla. You and Jessa are in our family forever."
Jayla: "Oh, so does that mean we can buy 4 or 5 babies?"
Dad: "......"
Jayla: "Can we buy a baby like that one?"
Dad: "We will have to wait and see what happens."
Although, Jayla still doesn't really understand the emotion that goes into an adoption felt by both an adoptive couple and especially a Birthparent; I am glad that from the very beginning she feels comfortable enough to talk about it with us. She makes me laugh.

Today I overheard Claire tell her cousin that she was "the first baby that we adopted". Bless her heart-things can be confusing at our house! We hope that you are adjusting well to your new place.
