Memorial Weekend

Jayla, once again, was really bored while Jessa was sleeping so we decided to call Grandma. Jayla had to talk to everyone who was there. Almost the whole family was there except for us and it sounded like they were having way too much fun. I couldn't stand the thought that they were having so much fun without us so I started to pack.

I packed in 20 minutes flat and as soon as Michael got home I told him that we were going to Utah. About 5 minutes later we were out the door and on our way to Utah...(and the only thing that we forgot was a toothbrush for the kids...not bad for being spontaneous.) We were sooo GLAD that we decided to go because they really were having a lot of fun without us. No one knew that we were coming so it was fun to surprise everyone.

Jayla's favorite game of the weekend was pushing Owen in the bucket...some how Owen was the one who was always being pushed...smart little man.

My beautiful little Jessa stealing some popcorn outside...where we spent most of our time.

We were even serenaded by 3 little professional pianists.

This was the beginning of the usual water fight...you don't want to see how it ended.

The whole crew relaxing and enjoying a movie with some popcorn...we had so much fun!

By the end of the weekend I usually catch Jayla sleeping in an odd position from being so exhausted from playing so hard. She was in the middle of eating her ice cream when she fell asleep. It didn't last for very long because Jessa had to go poke her in the nose to wake her up. That Jessa is the biggest teaser I know...she is so naughty, but so dang cute!

Of course I can't forget all of the service men in our own family who sacrifice so much so that we can enjoy our freedoms and our time with our families. Thanks so much!
