Happy Black History Month

We have been doing a few different things to celebrate Black History Month. One of the things we did was attend a children's fair that celebrated African American culture. Although the kids didn't really understand what was going on we still think that they had a lot of fun.

Jayla and Jessa after getting their faces painted. Jessa wasn't so sure about the whole thing, but held still long enough for them to put a few lines on her face.

The girls acting out the underground railroad...they mostly liked that they were allowed to climb on things.

We also attended a vigil commemorating the death of Pastor Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. They played his "I have a dream" speech. It was amazing.
