This is the first time that she ever got solids and she was very excited about it. She loves her sweet potatoes. She always watches us eat so we thought that she was ready to start eating herself. One of these days we will invest in a high chair.
Every time the spoon would come close to her she would open her mouth big and wide because she was so excited for the food. Sometimes she would even close her mouth and start to "chew" before I could get the food in her mouth because she was so excited. It was hilarious. She would literally bounce up and down with each spoon full.
Jayla has just entered the beautiful world of solids. As you can see by her chubby cheeks she is a good little eater. She opens her mouth big and wide so that we can fill her mouth with food. It is the funniest thing. She gets sooo excited when she gets to eat her baby food. I decided to try making my own baby food since we had all of this veggies from our garden and fruit from all of our fruit trees. So far the only home made baby food that I have only given to Jayla is peas. Since neither Michael or I like them we thought we would see if Jayla liked them. Apparently she fits right in with us because she wasn't a fan either. That was the only time that she did not open her mouth wide to let me feed her.
