These are the babies in our play group. They are all so cute in their Halloween outfits! There is Jayla flirting with Ethan. She always has to have something in her hand and yes if you couldn't tell she is the biggest one in group even though these babies are within a month of each other.
She is growing like a weed.

Isn't our little kitty so cute!! Here she is before our Halloween party. Yes we were pathetic and we didn't dress up ourselves. The fun part was dressing up Jayla.

Jayla Giggling

Jayla is so ticklish all I have to do is kiss her neck and she screams at the top of her lungs and sometimes we can get some good giggles out of her. She is such a fun girl! We have a lot of fun making her scream.

So what is THIS you ask. THIS is Michael's latest invention. It is a homemade anntena. Can't you tell? Him and his buddies at school all decided that they would make anntennas together and of course all of the angles and the length of the copper wires have been configured mathematically to receive the best signal. One of the perks of being married to an electrical engineer is that you are never bored. You are always helping your husband with his latest project and I guess his crazy ideas do come in handy.

So I am finally close to finishing my quilt that I have been working on for a very long long time. I am quite proud of myself. I was going to give it to our first girl, but Jayla has so many blankets already I'm sure that she wont even need it, so maybe I'll just keep it for sentimental value and give it to her when she is a little older. I worked so long and hard on it I don't think that I can bear to give it away.

I thought that this was so cute so I had to take a picture. Jayla is watching baseball with her daddy. I can't decide which one is enjoying it more. They both look so mesmerized by the T.V. Aren't they both so cute!!

5 Months Old

Jayla is getting so big!!! She now weighs 16.5 lbs and is 26.5 inches long. She loves to roll over from her back to her belly. She is too scared to roll to her back to she sits there and whines until we put her on her back so that she can roll to her tummy again. She love to chase us in her walker and gets so excited that she can be mobile. She enjoys eating solids and she loves to watch people eat. It will entertain her for hours. She is as noisy as ever. She is such a social baby that we give her a toy to play with when we are putting her to sleep. She is very good at grabbing anything and everything. Her favorite toy is her rattle or anything that makes noise when you shake it. She loves to smile at everyone. She is very ticklish. She can reach for mommy and daddy and just learned to give us kisses with her mouth wide open. We love those slobbery kisses!! She is getting more and more beautiful everyday. We are so lucky so have such a beautiful and fun baby girl!!

So this is part of our weekly playgroup. All of the babies are within a month or eachother. How fun is that! It is fun to watch the babies interact with each other and it gives all of us moms some human contact.

Here we are going for the last warm walk of the year. Since we got Jayla we have gone on a walk at least 3 times a week and sometimes more. Jayla loves going for a walk and it is fun family time that doesn't cost a thing. We are a little sad that our walks are finally coming to an end with the cold weather on its way.

This is the first time that she ever got solids and she was very excited about it. She loves her sweet potatoes. She always watches us eat so we thought that she was ready to start eating herself. One of these days we will invest in a high chair.

Every time the spoon would come close to her she would open her mouth big and wide because she was so excited for the food. Sometimes she would even close her mouth and start to "chew" before I could get the food in her mouth because she was so excited. It was hilarious. She would literally bounce up and down with each spoon full.


Jayla has just entered the beautiful world of solids. As you can see by her chubby cheeks she is a good little eater. She opens her mouth big and wide so that we can fill her mouth with food. It is the funniest thing. She gets sooo excited when she gets to eat her baby food. I decided to try making my own baby food since we had all of this veggies from our garden and fruit from all of our fruit trees. So far the only home made baby food that I have only given to Jayla is peas. Since neither Michael or I like them we thought we would see if Jayla liked them. Apparently she fits right in with us because she wasn't a fan either. That was the only time that she did not open her mouth wide to let me feed her.

Jayla loves talking to the baby in the mirror. She loves how the baby always smiles back. She hasn't figured out yet that it is her own reflection. We love to see her get all excited and we love her squeals. When she squeals she tenses up her entire body. It is impossible for her to hold still and squeal at the same time. What a cutie!!

So we got a new camera a couple of weeks ago and I am trying to learn how to take different pictures and poor Jayla is my test subject since she is so beautiful. I was just experimenting today and I thought that this picture was interesting with the different lighting.

Happy Halloween

I went to a pumpkin patch with my friend Jenny and her two kids. There was a little maze and everything for the little kids. Of course Jayla was too little to enjoy it. Instead she had fun chewing on the straw. Her birth mom gave her that cute little outfit that she is wearing along with the little pumpkin (She always has such good taste) so I was dying to take some cute pictures of her in it. As you can see Jayla didn't disappoint. I can't wait until next year when Jayla will be able to walk through the maze all by herself.

So right before the priesthood session Michael was changing Jayla's diaper. He just put another diaper underneath her while he reached back to get some wipes. All of sudden he felt his ankle get warm and wet, then it spread to his shoe. It soaked his pant leg, his socks, his shoes and the carpet. Meanwhile his family was in the drive way honking to take him to the priesthood session. It was hilarious. Unfortunately we didn't get any pictures of it, but we thought that everyone would get a kick out of reading this.
