Adventure Root Group

 I had a blast with this group.  Women need other women.  I joined an adventure group.  We need that community and it was fun to be able to be adventurous like a kid again getting out without kids.  We did the flowrider and I was able to get up and kind of surf thanks to wake boarding.  It was a little different, but still fun being with all these ladies.

This one was my all time favorite activity.  I was so nervous because I always feel like I'm going to drown whenever I go snorkeling.  It was easier than snorkeling surprisingly.  I could breathe easier and it was less scary for me actually.  I did have a headache afterwards I think because I was over oxygenated from breathing so fast to make sure I didn't drown.  We played tag and made air bubbles.  I was too scared to practice taking my respirator out of my mouth and putting it back in.  I would have to practice a lot of that before I would feel comfortable but I can definitely see myself getting certified in the future.

This was another favorite of mine.  Probably after scuba diving.  It was cold but pretty fun at the same time.  I repelled several times and we even saw a snack eating a mouse.  I had to be careful with my broken toe so that it didn't come out of place and have to start the healing process over again.  It was so annoying having a broken pinky toe.  It limited me a lot for a dumb little toe.

We went to this crazy place in Ogden with obstacle courses.  You climb this pole all the way to the top with nothing to hold onto and without feeling like you strapped in.  

then you jump off the top.  It was freaky, but I did it.  There were a lot of other climbing walls and a giant zipline that we got to on a few times.

We went Kayaking at Pineview reservoir.  I was trying so hard to win the race but we kept going in circles.  I don't get it.  Maybe I'm just used to paddling with my kids.  Needless to say we came in last place.  I was laughing so hard that I couldn't even row anymore.  It was a good time for sure.  Mariah became one of my favorites.  She has a very loud boisterous personality so I was drawn to here naturally.  She is so cute.

We went to antelope island to ride horses and get eaten by mosquitos.  This was probably one of the more scary adventures for me.  It makes me nervous to feel like I have no control on an animal with its own mind.  They were well trained but I still felt to be at the mercy of my horse.  The landscape was beautiful!  My old lady knees couldn't handle the ride and I was happy to get off at the end.  It was fun as usual.
