Boating

Boating with the kids this summer.  It turned into a tradition for grandma and grandpa to take us out a few times and get some good knee boarding, wakeboarding and tubing in.  The kids are getting good at all the things and starting to get more brave.  Mikey crosses the wake on the knee board now and is pretty fast at getting up.  Jayla and Jessa didn't try the knee board this year and held out for the tubes.
I helped Kellan get up on the knee board and now he can do it all by himself!  It will fun watching him progress.

I had to show the kids how its done.  I'm getting old but I still show these kids how its doe.  I remember my dad wake boarding up until just a few years ago.  Grandma always packs us a good lunch and the kids get to swim in the water for a bit too with grandma and grandpa.

Quinton was so cute and so determined to get his 360 down.  He was finally able to do it!  He was so proud of himself.  It is fun doing the same things with my kids that I grew up doing and so grateful grandma and grandpa still like to take us out.  We will soak it up while we can.  Some day this too will come to an end.  I remember when my own grandma and grandpa got too old to go boating with us.  Such is the circle of life.

Jessa got up on the knee board no problem.  I tried to convince her to wakeboard, but had no luck this year.  I will have to try next year.

Jayla is always cute to ride with the little boys and make sure that they aren't too nervous on the tubes.  Lucas is starting to get more brave.  Maybe he will try the knee board in a few years.  He isn't the bravest with water, but loves to try to keep up with his older siblings.

He's beautiful even when he is upset.

I have so many memories of boating and camping as a kid with this guy.  We did have some fun family trips throughout the years, mostly camping and boating.

I was trying to sneak a picture of this difficult teenager.  This was all I could get at the moment.  I'll take it.

These three wanted more of a wild ride.  Grandpa showed them that when you fall off you don't get hurt so now they will jump off on purpose and are less afraid of crashing.

All these boys trying to swap sides while tubing getting a lot more brave.

I was able to steal this beauty.  I got a good one of her.

Beautiful flag girl!

Oh he's so beautiful!  I love him so much!  He is the best!

Love this boy!  Mom didn't do that great of a job rubbing sun screen in his face.  He just loves when I do that!

The best mom in the world!  She really gave me a great start in life and so much confidence.  She really was an amazing mother!  She did good.

I had to post this one with the tongue out.  Classic Quinton!  Love it!
