Domino Camp

Domino camp is always a good time.  Our shared experiences make us instant friends right away.  We all get it and what each other is going through and what our kids are all going through.  It is where I feel the most comfortable.  There is no judgement because we get it and it is incredibly validating to us as adoptive parents and to our kids as adoptees in families that don't match.

This year we went down the river with a big huge group of us.  The entire camp was full this year.  It was so fun meeting different families from across Utah and Idaho.  We all have shared struggles and a shared passion to raise these amazing kids to the best way possible.  We know that we have to get outside help.  We as adoptive parents will never be enough for our kids.  We aren't' there to fill and complete them, but to guide them on how they can feel complete and fill themselves with what they need.

By the end the kids are all fast friends.  It is amazing how quickly everyone bonds in this space.

This was the best night!  OH I'm craving it right now.  A Cajun cookout with crawdads and chicken.  Lucas and Jessa loved the crawdad the most.
