Michael promised Jessa that before the season ended he'd take her to a BYU basketball game at the Marriott Center. There were only 2 home games left and tickets were crazy expensive. But, it was a blizzard outside so tickets started going on sale as people didn't want to drive in the snow to go to the game. A few hours before the game because it was a blizzard outside. Michael found good seats for a great deal but he wasn't sure if he wanted to try to drive down for the game in the snow. I convinced him to chance it and he bough tickets about 2hrs before tipoff and surprised Jessa. They hurried and jumped in the car to make the drive down in the blizzard. Cars were skidding off the road, but they made it there 2hrs later just as they started announcing the players on the opening hype video.
They said it was totally worth it. Jessa said it was the best games she's ever been to.
It was a crazy, crazy game. BYU started the game slow and couldn't hit a shot. By halftime they were losing by 14 and the crowd was dead. They came out after halftime and started making 3 after 3 after 3 and the crowd started getting louder and louder. When they finally tied the game and the crowd was so loud Jessa said "I think the roof might collapse". BYU completed the comeback and won the game!
They stayed after and waited by the portal for an hour to get the players to sign her BYU hat.
Jessa got to meet her favorite player (Jaxson Robinson 😍). She was crushing so hard on Jax! This is her standing on bleachers next to him. LOL
On the drive home they couldn't stop talking about the game... reliving the best parts over and over. They even laughed their heads off together when a guy on the freeway got pulled over right after he flipped them off.
Michael said it was a night with his girl that he'll never forget. Jessa too said she will never forget that night.
