Animals, Animals and More Animals

Since Jayla loves animals we decided to take her to Farm Country. She absolutely loved it! Of course we had a lot of fun seeing her explore and trying to pet all of the animals.

Jayla wanted to pet the peacock...its a good thing that daddy had a good grip on her hand before she was successful.

We went for a wagon ride that was pulled by two huge horses. Jayla kept trying to pet the horses.

The pony ride was our favorite...and the best part was that I was successful as dodging all of the puddles and horse pebbles! Jayla kept petting the horses mane. She then sang to herself and kept bouncing up and down the whole time..she was in heaven. It was really cute! I love that girl!

Mommy showing Jayla how to milk a cow. I did learn something all those years growing up on a farm.

Jayla loved the horses! She started to throw a fit when we left all of the horses. Notice the bright red sign...so of course the first thing Jayla wanted to do was pet it. We had to make sure that her little fingers stayed far away from the horses mouth.

Our precious Jayla wasn't afraid of anything...she kept trying to feed the animals and then imitate the sounds that they made. Although she had a blast, I dare say that Michael and I had even more fun watching Jayla enjoy herself.

We then visited the Ancient Life Museum. We think that Jayla was more interested in all of the other kids than the crazy looking statues.

Lets pretend that Jayla climbed up on the exhibit herself and that her dad didn't help her.

Jayla didn't know what to think about the big raptor hanging over her head. She kept pointing to it's sharp teeth. Thank goodness they are extinct.

Family Party

This is Matt (brother-in-law) and my sister Brittany. We had a party because some of Matt's family was in town. (We'll use any excuse to have a party and homemade ice cream.)

(Starting from the left) Matt's sister, family friend, her husband, and one of Matt's brothers.

Vanessa stealing some ice cream from her mom.

The kids digging into their food. We had pizza and ice cream...Jayla's two favorite things to eat...and she didn't waste anytime getting started.

Some of the crew. Since the weather was perfect we decided to have the party outside.

This is Yvonne's Mom. She was visiting from Taiwan... and she absolutely adores Jayla. As you can tell from the picture.

This was the first time that Jayla actually shared with someone else! Hopefully we'll see more of that.

Jayla and Vanessa took turns pushing each other on the princess car. They had so much fun.

All of the kids had fun in the play house and Jayla was excited to give them the grand tour.

Vanessa went into our garden and picked out the biggest squash that she could find...then she took it everywhere she went.

Our Week

While Michael has been busy working hard on his PROSPECTUS (an hour presentation given before a panel of professors, which will determine when he can graduate) Jayla and I have been working REAL hard as well...

This is us on the Lake. Little Vanessa kept a close eye on Jayla and made sure that she was drinking enough and that she got plenty to eat. Vanessa kept breaking off little pieces of her sandwhich for Jayla. She is such a little mom and it is so cute to see how excited she gets when she sees Jayla!

This was Wesley first ride on the water wienie and he loved it despite all of the water splashing in his face! I am excited for when Jayla will be old enough to ride it. Unfortunately this boating trip was a short one because the wind started blowing so bad making some really ugly waves.

Thanks to Jayla's birthmom, Chauntel, for supplying us with a snow machine, we have been enjoying some tasty snow cones this summer. Jayla absolutely LOVES them!! When the snow cone is all gone she usually screams for me to make more. I am afraid she is starting to develop quite the sweet tooth.

This was the bouncer that Jayla used as a baby. ( It can convert into a chair for a toddler) We recently set it up for her and now we can't get her out of it. She loves to sit in it and read all of her books.

We took Jayla outside to play in the rain. She kept feeling the raindrops on her head and wasn't quite sure what to think of them.

We then went puddle jumping. This was the very first time that she didn't sit in a puddle. Usually she plops right down and gets busy splashing.

We bought this new sippy cup for Jayla because she likes to use straws instead of the traditional sippy cup. In 4 hours she went through 4 sippy cups full of milk. This is her working on her 5th cup full. She obviously LOVED her new cup.

Thanks Daddy for working so HARD so that we can have such a GREAT life.

Just Another Day in the Life of a Jayla Mae

As a general rule Jayla screams and giggles for most of the day. She LOVES to SCREAM!! On this particular day she was exceptionally hyper and happy...even for her. She kept running back and forth screaming as loud as she could and getting into trouble along the way. Oh..I LOVE that little girl!! Here are a few pictures of the day.

She loves getting into the clothes hamper and dragging all the clothes around. She has always loved playing with clothes ever since she learned to grab things. What a HAMM!!

Practicing for the next beauty pageant. Look at those cute legs!

Screaming at the top of her lungs while running as fast as her little legs can carry her.

More Screaming...

and MORE screaming...

and even MORE screaming.

I love this picture! She has such a cute personality!!

I LOVE this picture too, obviously.

After all of the screaming was done. Jayla was all worn out and ready for a nap.
