4 Months Old!!!

Wow Jayla has grown up so fast. This last month she really learned many different skills. She can sit up, with some help, can grab objects, giggle, suck on her thumb (only when we are not looking), moves around in her walker, smiles to herself in the mirror, grabs her toes and has even managed to suck on them and she can now hold up her head and chest while grabbing for toys. She has figured out that she can do more than just squeal. She bables and even whines when she wants something. She has even learned to throw a fit every once in a while.

She still loves to talk and she loves toys. She also loves to stand and when lying down tries her hardest to sit up on her own. She loves shiney things and she finally likes tummy time. She likes to go to bed. It is so funny, sometimes when we put her in her crib she gets really excited and starts to squeal becuase she gets to to bed.

Melon Days

It is a yearly tradition to go to Melon Days every September. Usually all of the boy cousins enter into the softball tournament, but this year only Michael and his brother Brian played. Everyone had so much fun cheering them on!!! Micheal's brothers Justin, Jason and Tyson also played a region baseball game that weekend.

BYU FOOTBALL

This is Jayla and Michael at the UCLA game. Michael got tickets with some of his friends and co-workers. He was dying to take Jayla to a football game this year. Especially since she had the proper fan attire. You can't tell in the picture, but she is wearing a pink BYU onsie. He said that Jayla had fun looking at everything and everyone. Of course everyone thought that Michael was brave to take her to a game, but Jayla loved it!! She really did have a good time looking at everything and for some reason she feels at home with crowds. She never gets upset in situations like that. Probably because she has been around them her whole life with all the frineds and family members that come to see her often. Plus she is just a happy baby naturally!

Family Dinner

Yvonne's parents were here from Taiwan so everyone decided to get together and go out to eat. Yvonne's parents were so kind as to treat our whole family several times by taking us out to dinner so we wanted to return the favor. Yvonne is their only child so they are always so excited to come and see Yvonne, Lincoln and their two children. They told Yvonne that they need to have more kids for them to come visit. They know some English, but they are still learning. They are the sweetest people you will ever meet!! It was sad to see them go home.

Jayla Talking

I showed this video to Jayla while she sat on my lap. She was completely mesmerized. She didn't know what to think of the baby on the screen of the computer. Then she starting babbling right back the whole time the video was on. It was so cute!!

Matt and Mary's Wedding

This is Matt and Mary. Don't they look so happy!

This is uncle David. He tried so hard to stay out of a group picture that I was taking. I told him that if he wouldn't knock it off then I would put a big picture of just him on our blog. I'm sure you can guess what happened.

These are a few of our aunts and uncles as you can see that uncle David was not successful in ducking out of the group picture like he intended. (started from the left: David, Becky, Danny, Krista, Diane, Kathy and Pat.)

Grandma was always fighting for the chance to hold her little grand baby and let me tell ya she does not share very willingly.

This is little Donovan, or should I say big Donovan. He is the cutest kid ever! He belongs to aunt Diane who also adopted him when he was a baby.

Michael was starting to get jealous of grandpa for having so much fun with Jayla so he tried to get in on the fun as well.

Grandpa had to make sure that he held Jayla. Notice all the dark spots on the front of his shirt. Those were complements of Jayla.

Michael left the room to get a drink and when he got back this is what he found. Jayla had twisted her whole body around so that she could watch TV. Michael said that she even had her leg straight up in the air because she was trying so hard to turn around.
